First Day

We all arrived safely in Argentina. Payden missed her connection in NY due to bad weather on route. After making the later connection at JFK she flew to Lima, Santiago and finally arrived at 5:30 last night. AFter we all got to the hotel we had a city tour which was great, but 2 more hour on a bus after the plane rides some of he team were falling asleep.
The evening was rounded off with the best steak dinner at a really nice resturant finishing with ice cream and coffee. By the time we all went to bed I could have slept standing up, but it was nice to have them all together. Our hotel is great, located in the center of the city with lots of good places to eat and very safe to walk around.

This morning Wednesday we had breakfast at the hotel. Eggs, cereal, cold ham and bread, all excellent before off for our first practice which was run by one of the top coaches here in the city. I am now in an internet cafe trying to understand the blog in Spainish to try and send something out. The key board has all the letters missing so please excuse my typing.

The team now has some free time to walk aound explore and have a late lunch. Tonight we play our first match at 9;30pm. We have dinner following the match. Things here in Argentina usually open very late, so eating in the evening doesn´t begin usually until 9-10 pm. The night clubs don´t open until 1pm. Don´t worry everyone will be too tried by that time and will be safely tucked up in bed.
