Tue-Aug 12 BUENOS AIRES 9:00am Arrive at Buenos Aires' Ezeiza International Airport. Greeting by your highly-qualified Victory Sports Tours' Tour Manager. Our Tour Managers are selected for their high-energy and commitment to customer satisfaction. For the next week, your Tour Manager will be coordinating and managing all of your scheduled activities and will be available to you on a 24-hour basis should you need special assistance.
10:00am- City Sightseeing Tour 1:00pm 1:00pm City Tour ends at your Three-Star Hotel where you will check-in for a seven-night stay including daily breakfast. 2:00pm Suggestion: Explore Santa Fe Avenue featuring many shops and sidewalk cafes for lunch on your own. Choose one of the informal "parilla" grill restaurants for a delicious beef or chicken barbecue lunch or lighter fare at another eatery.
5:00pm WARM-UP PRACTICE SESSION at a nearby club with a top Argentine coach or player. 7:00pm Welcome Dinner at El Establo typical Argentine barbecue restaurant (or similar) with the best beef you will ever eat! (chicken and vegetarian options available). This dinner is included in your tour package. Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (Museum of Fine Arts) - Buenos Aires' fine arts museum features works of international renown, including several sculptures by Rodin. The most noteworthy pieces are by Argentine artists, including some sweeping works depicting battle scenes of centuries past. Located in Recoleta, Buenos Aires' most fashionable neighborhood, this museum is adjacent to several lovely parks and is worth the visit. 5:30pm Dinner at El Palacio de la Papa Frita restaurant on Lavalle St. downtown for hearty portions of traditional Argentine dishes for dinner on your own.
Three-hour city sightseeing tour on your comfortable motorcoach giving you an overview of Buenos Aires' culture and history as seen through its neighborhoods and historical landmarks. Included highlights are the Casa Rosada (presidential palace), Palace of Congress, the world-class Teatro Colon opera house, Avenida Nueve de Julio (a ten-block wide avenue with an esplanade in between), the Obelisk (reminiscent of the Washington Monument) and the delightful neighborhoods of La Boca, San Telmo (birthplace of the Tango), Palermo (with wide boulevards, leafy parks, and extravagant monuments) and Recoleta (highlighted by the cemetery featuring opulent mausoleums where "Evita" Peron is buried). After completing your tour you will understand why Buenos Aires is often compared with Paris and Madrid.

Club Ciudad Pitch I Thu-Aug 14 BUENOS AIRES 7:00am- Breakfast at Hotel. 11:00am 9:30am MORNING PRACTICE SESSION at a nearby club with a top Argentine coach or player. 12:00noon Free time to visit sites of individual interest and enjoy lunch on your own. Suggestion: Visit Calle Florida, the 10-block long pedestrian shopping street in the heart of downtown Buenos Aires. There is an unending variety of shops featuring some of the best quality goods you will come across during your entire trip. Typical Argentine items of interest include jackets, shoes, boots, pants, wallets, purses, gloves, etc., basically anything made out of leather. "Florida" has many cafes and restaurants available for lunch on your own. 5:30pm Suggestion: Try the Village Recoleta restaurant, nightclub, and shopping district located in one of the most fashionable parts of town. Mingle on the sidewalk with the many local residents as they shop, dine, or go to the movies. For a delicious, yet inexpensive dinner on your own, try the Café Victoria dinner specials where salad, entrée, dessert, a drink and coffee cost about $ 10! 5:30pm Dinner at the traditional and historic Café Tortoni, one of Buenos Aires' most emblematic
eateries dating back to the 1850s, for dinner on your own. Carlos Gardel and many of the other great Tango singers frequented this establishment.

12:00noon Free time to visit sites of individual interest and enjoy lunch on your own.
Suggestion: On weekends venture to the Recoleta Flea Market for lots of bargains on hand-made leather and other goods at one of the hundreds of stalls staffed by the artisans themselves. For shopping, stroll anywhere along the 35-block stretch of Santa Fe Avenue, from downtown to the Alto Palermo shopping mall. This street is lined with boutiques, shops, and galerías, featuring mostly women's clothing. Take an occasional break in one of the many corner cafes for a coffee and "media-luna" or other afternoon pastry. Other recommended shopping malls in the vicinity are Paseo Alcorta and Patio Bullrich.

an AAAHSC or university team.
10:00pm Aftermatch get-together with your opponents
with drinks and snacks included.
Visit with disadvantaged members of the metropolitan Buenos Aires community, most likely at a child-welfare agency, such as an orphanage. Showing these youngsters that you care might very well be the most rewarding part of your trip. Small gifts of toys or similar items are welcome as these children have little and are very appreciative. Actual organization to be visited is confirmed about 30-60 days prior to your arrival.

Suggestion: Bella Italia - Try this small, intimate Italian restaurant with an understated and elegant way about it for dinner on your own. The food is excellent and can rightfully be called gourmet. One of the most popular restaurants in Buenos Aires, yet reasonably-priced. Mon-Aug 18 BUENOS AIRES 7:00am- Breakfast at Hotel. 9:00am 12:00noon Your last full day in Argentina is free to explore, sightsee, and shop as you wish. Lunch on your own. Suggestion: Visit the Teatro Colon Opera House, one of the world's foremost opera theaters for a guided tour of this marvelous facility (approx. $ 5 entry fee at own expense). Or take a free guided tour of the Casa Rosada Presidential Palace.
7:30pm Farewell Dinner at a fine restaurant such as La Estancia "parilla" grill (or similar). Toast the conclusion of a great trip! This dinner is included in your tour package.
4:00pm MATCH 4 vs. YOUR HOSTS - FIELD HOCKEY
Your hockey tour wraps up with your last game against local Argentine opposition. 6:00pm Aftermatch Mini-Party with the opposing team and coaches with food and refreshments served. 7:00pm Return to hotel to shower and change.
10:30am Estancia Day - Depart in private motorcoach
for an exciting visit to an authentic Argentine
"estancia" (cattle ranch). Experience the life of the
"gauchos" (cowboys) through roping demonstrations, rides on horse-driven carts plus folklore dancing and singing. Highlight of your visit is a traditional Argentine "asado" (barbecue) featuring delicious cuts of world-famous Argentine beef grilled over an open pit.

There are so many places to visit in the city!
I stayed in an apartment in Buenos Aires and had the opportunity to know almost everything because I stayed for a whole month.
